Earth’s crammed with Heaven,
and every common bush afire with God;
but only he who sees takes off his shoes.
~~Elizabeth Barrett Browning

Ephesians 5:18... too many of us approach the Holy Spirit like we approach alcohol. We want just enough to get a little buzz... have a little on the weekend to relax... but not too much... We yield ourselves responsibly.

Safety, acceptance,
and non-judgement is found in trusting that I can
bring my honest mess of a self to the table
and I will be embraced and even cele-
brated for the very fact that I exist as
a beloved son or daughter of
God; nothing more, nothing

Tune your heart and mind deeper into Christ’s
acceptance of you and you will mirror that
acceptance to the person you are coaching.
Spend some time in prayer, asking Jesus what
he sees when he sees you. Write down any
words, images, or ideas that come to mind.
Reflect on it.

If we think of the Holy Spirit as a mysterious power, we tend to ask, “How can I get more of the Holy Spirit?” If we think of the Holy Spirit as a person, we will ask, “How can the Holy Spirit have more of me?” The first thought is pagan. The second is New Testament ~ J.M.Boice
